We are looking for an experienced Data Architect who can assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. The ideal candidate will plan, create, and maintain data architectures while ensuring they align with business needs. In this role, you will create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
Responsibilities
- Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional/nonfunctional business requirements.
- Plans, creates, and maintains data architectures while also keeping them aligned with business requirements.
- Creates and maintains optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Identifies, designs, and implements internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Proposes the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and ‘big data’ technologies.
- Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refines whenever required, and reports immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders.
- Proposes analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
- Works with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Builds strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, helping them to understand how they can leverage Big Data Technologies to solve their unique business problems.
Requirements
- BS /MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent with programming experience.
- Proven experience (7- 10+ years) in engineering, modeling, database design, and architecture has designed and developed modern, scalable, maintainable, high-quality databases & data services for large-scale data analytics projects.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
- Experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Hadoop, and Microsoft Data Platform
- Experience and understanding of modern data architectures and patterns (e.g. Lambda architecture, Streaming, Delta Lake architectures) • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Azure Data Factory, Airflow, etc.
- Experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Reporting technologies (e.g. SSAS, PowerBI, Tableau).
- Experience with Azure /AWS cloud services.
- Understanding of current data trends and technologies (e.g. Data Science, Machine Learning, AI).
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python/R, C#/Java, etc.
- Strong overall knowledge of application capabilities, integration, data design, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery framework (e.g. Scrum, DSDM).
- BI/reporting knowledge medium level.
- Experience with MS Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, or other platforms, data migration would be a big plus.
- Fluent in English and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
