Senior Data Engineer (Modeling)

We are looking to hire an experienced data modeler engineer. The data modeler will be responsible for designing and maintaining logical data models for healthcare data, ensuring efficient database structures, indexing strategies, and query optimization. They will enforce data governance standards, oversee data integration and migration, and implement security measures to protect sensitive information. Collaboration with product teams, architects, and developers is essential to align data models with business needs and ensure scalability. Additionally, the role involves documenting data models and effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain logical data models for healthcare data.
• Develop optimized database structures, indexing strategies, and queries.
• Ensure data governance, integrity, and quality compliance.
• Lead data integration and migration efforts across multiple sources.
• Implement security and privacy measures for sensitive data.
• Collaborate with product teams, architects, and developers.
• Document data models and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, SQL Server Management Studio).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Knowledge of database optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning.
• Understanding of data governance, ETL processes, and data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
• Familiarity with data security best practices (encryption, access controls).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
