Senior WebTV Developer

We are looking for a Senior WebTV - OTT Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Over-the-Top (OTT) streaming platforms and WebTV solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality video streaming experiences across multiple devices, leveraging cutting-edge technologies in content delivery, encoding, and front-end development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OTT applications for WebTV, Smart TVs, STBs (Set-Top Boxes), mobile, and web platforms.
• Optimize video streaming performance by implementing adaptive bitrate streaming (ABR), low-latency HLS/DASH, and CDN integrations.
• Integrate and manage video delivery workflows, including DRM (Digital Rights Management), video encoding, and cloud-based media processing.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create immersive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement analytics and monitoring tools to track video playback, engagement, and performance.
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and smooth playback across various devices and browsers.
• Stay updated on OTT trends and emerging video streaming technologies to continuously enhance the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in OTT/streaming platform development.
• Strong proficiency in React for front-end development.
• Experience with video streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH, WebRTC, RTMP).
• Hands-on experience with video players (Shaka Player, Video.js, Hls.js, ExoPlayer).
• Knowledge of CDNs (Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly) and caching strategies.
• Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Golang) for video processing and APIs.
• Familiarity with DRM solutions (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay).
• Experience working with cloud media services (AWS Media Services, Azure Media, GCP Video Intelligence).
• Strong understanding of performance optimization and low-latency streaming techniques.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
